What helps us reply with the right advice
A short description of your current work helps most. Tell us whether you report to camera, shoot for others or do both, and whether you work in a newsroom or as a freelancer. This lets us suggest a course that fits your daily tasks rather than a general programme.
Say what you find hardest at the moment. It might be holding a steady handheld shot, speaking naturally to the lens, recording clean sound in a noisy street, or staying calm when a live broadcast changes at the last minute. One honest sentence about the problem is enough.
If you have a recent piece of footage, mention it. We may ask you to share a short clip so a tutor can give an honest view of where to begin. Please send only material you have the right to share, and tell us if anything in it is sensitive.
Let us know the kit you use, even in outline: camera type, lens, microphone and any support such as a tripod or gimbal. Our tutors teach on whatever equipment you really own, so there is no need to buy anything new before we talk.
For newsroom teams, add the number of people, their roles and the standards you would like to share across the group. We will answer with a written quotation, and once you confirm it we issue an invoice payable by bank transfer.
